About Cookie Geist

First and foremost, I'm certain you're wondering what is a cookie geist, what does it mean or how did the name originate? Let's start with the (Wikipedia) definitions for cookie and geist

  • Cookie: "A cookie (American English) or biscuit (British English) is a baked snack or dessert that is typically small, flat, and sweet. It usually contains flour, sugar, egg, and some type of oil, fat, or butter. It may include other ingredients such as raisins, oats, chocolate chips, or nuts."
  • Geist: "Geist can be roughly translated into three English meanings: ghost (as in the supernatural entity), spirit (as in the Holy Spirit), and mind or intellect."

Cookie Geist aims to be the spirit, mind and intellect for all things 'cookie.' I hope this makes sense to you. We're all trying to make sense of this too and that's the best part of this journey which is just getting started.

A few things are certain:
1. This is not Biscuit Geist
2. Cookie Geist has nothing to do with muffins, cupcakes or cakes, for now.
